CALLED UNTO A PERFECT WALK

Beloved, when God weighs you in His balances, you will be found wanting if your righteousness is not of God in Christ Jesus. Except your righteousness shall exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of heaven - Matthew 5:20. Self-righteousness is like filthy rags and falls short of God's standard of true righteousness and holiness.

DO SOMETHING FOR OTHERS

As the opportunity comes to help someone, use it without delay. See yourself as a conduit of the blessings of God. DO NOT hinder the flow. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee - Proverbs 3:27-28. Do whatever you can to help that needy person now because a missed opportunity may never come again.

THE GENUINE CHRISTIAN

You can tell whether someone is a Christian or not by their life: a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Genuine Christians live and walk in the Spirit. They walk circumspectly, not allowing sin and the flesh to have dominion over them. True Christians demonstrate an active life of charity toward others. Are you a true Christian?

VANITY OF OUTWARD BEAUTY

In his day, Absalom was the most beautiful in Israel. As far as the eyes of men could see, there was no blemish in him. But he was like a whited sepulchre which indeed appeared beautiful on the outward but full of hypocrisy and iniquity within. As revealed by the Spirit of the Lord he was a wolf in sheep's clothing. Absalom did not have the fear of God but all Israel was deceived to praise him because of his vain beauty.

DO NOT ALTER YOUR BODY

It is foolishness to strive with your Maker. Broken pieces of pottery may strive with themselves, but the clay cannot argue with the potter about how it should be fashioned: "If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him?" - 1 Samuel 2:25a. Like a lump of clay every man should allow the Potter to do whatever He pleases with them.
