GOD IS OUR HIDING PLACE

Dec 12 2021

Key Text: Nahum 1:7 KJV - The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

The Lord is a shelter in the time of storm for those who trust in Him. Addressing the believer, the Lord said: "I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him" - Psalm 91:15b. There is no need to worry since God has promised to be with you in troublous times. He is a very present help in trouble. God is your defence and no weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper.

Many pray to the Lord in their troubles, but He answers only those who call upon Him out of a pure heart. The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it and is safe. Just as chicks run to take cover under the wings of their mother when a kite comes to snatch them away, so should the believer hide under the wings of the Lord in the face of danger.

Born again believers have a hiding place in God. They are engraved upon the palms of His hand. There will be occasions when you're tempted to go elsewhere in search of protection. At such times always remember that safety and security are guaranteed only for those who remain in the secret place of the Almighty God. Trust in the Lord alone: He is your refuge and your fortress. If you have not known the Lord and want to enjoy this coverage, simply surrender your life to Jesus Christ.

Prayer: O Lord, let no iniquity have dominion over me, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe - Proverbs 18:10.
