There are secrets in the Scriptures that will enable believers to serve God acceptably when they are revealed. Although these secrets are there in the Word of God, only those who search the Scriptures diligently will discover and profit from them. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter - Proverbs 25:2.

You can avoid making Esau's mistake by comparing the long-range consequences of an action with its short-term satisfaction before you act. Esau acted rather rashly without diligently considering the consequences of selling his birthright to Jacob for a mess of pottage. This connotes shortsightedness and misplaced priorities.

Whatever you hear that does not align with the word of God must be treated as a lie. Besides speaking through others, the devil can also manipulate your health condition, imaginations, thoughts, situations and circumstances, against the counsel of God for your life. Always check to know the spirit behind every voice that speaks to you - 1 John 4:1.

At the cross of Calvary when Jesus Christ was smitten by the Father, the Living water was released which flows into everyone who believes. Therefore, there's a reservior of living water in the spirit of every born-again believer. However, this living water is trapped in the human spirit and can only flow into the soul of those willing to dig their wells of life.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. You can only judge the quality of something by tasting, trying or using it. The goodness of God can be experienced by all who come to put their trust in Him. In this verse of Scripture, David declares: "blessed is the man that trusts in him (the Lord)" and challenges us to confirm the veracity of his declaration for ourselves.
