In the multitude of words you will find exaggeration, pride, hypocrisy, lying, slander, gossip, etc. To avoid talkativeness let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. There is a time to keep silence, and a time to speak - Ecclesiastes 3:7b. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding - Proverbs 17:28. May the Lord help us to know when to keep silence and when to speak.

The grace of God is misunderstood by many Christians and Bible teachers. Under grace believers are free from sin but not free to sin. The erroneous doctrine of eternal security stems from the teaching that once saved by grace, you are forever saved. But Demas was once saved by grace and later backslid because of the love of the world. We cannot take the grace of God for granted.

How do you see men? There will be no passion for evangelism until you are able to see men as men and not as trees. A second touch from the Lord is needed to enable you see men through the eyes of Christ. When Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion and He raised a prayer request for more labourers that will harvest the field of souls - Matthew 9:36.

At the throne of grace we enjoy a double portion: God's forgiving mercy and His pardoning grace. Whereas, His grace has appeared to all men for personal appropriation (receiving), God's mercy is there for the asking. The Lord is always there to answer anyone that will dare to call upon Him in the time of trouble. There's abundant pardon awaiting the penitent sinner.

Christians are called to be non-conformists. They are not permitted to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. Others may tell white lies, jest, gossip, embezzle funds, bear false witness, but genuine Christians are expected to be different. They are not allowed to join the multitude to do anything that will not bring glory to the name of the Lord and His kingdom.
