GOD'S PLAN FOR BELIEVERS

Mar 06 2019

Key Text: Deuteronomy 6:23 KJV - And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.

The Lord saved the children of Israel from Egyptian bondage that he might bring them into the promised land of Canaan. It was never in God's plan for them to be wasted in the wilderness. Unfortunately, due to the sins of unbelief and murmuring among the people, almost all the adult members of the congregation that left Egypt perished in the wilderness. Though the giants were on their way to hinder them, Joshua and Caleb simply trusted in the ability of God, and were brought into Canaan.

Everyone that is saved from sin should understand that the Lord has brought them out of the world that he may bring them into heaven. However, for any saved soul to make heaven, they must continuously strive against sin that they may not lose their salvation experience. He that lays his hand on the plough and looks back at the dainties of the world is not fit for the kingdom of heaven.

In case you did not know, the reason why the Lord saved you from sin is that he might bring you into the kingdom of heaven. However, it is only those that will endure till the end like Joshua and Caleb that will eventually make it through those pearly gates. God is faithful and can bring you into heaven, but you must abide in Christ, no matter the challenges life throws at you. Repent and stay connected to the Lord.

Prayer: Heaven is my destination: I refuse to die in the wilderness of life, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it - 1 Thessalonians 5:24.
