Godliness is profitable, and it pays to know and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. As a godly youth, Daniel resisted temptation, restrained his appetite and abstained from every appearance of evil. He purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself. The decision he made as a young man saw him through life as a godly prosperous man. Beware of the decisions you make today because of the far-reaching consequences they will have in your life.

The word of God declares that Abraham was fully persuaded that, what God had promised, He was able also to perform it. Although the promised Isaac did not come until after twenty-five years of waiting, Abraham overcame the temptation to stagger at the promise of God. He was strong in faith. He trusted the faithfulness of God who cannot lie but does whatever He promises.

Unknown to Esther, God planted her in the King's palace for the deliverance of the Jews. And when the time came to play her role, the Lord used her Uncle, Mordecai to sound the alarm. The moment she realised her mission, Esther was determined to fulfil her ministry. She was not afraid to die and boldly declared: if I perish, I perish. You are not there by accident, but to fulfil destiny.

Beware of ungodly company. It always leads to death and therefore must be avoided. Those who support any ungodly fellowship are calling evil good and will certainly suffer the same punishment with those that are directly involved in evil practices and activities. For instance, there is no difference between those who take pleasure in watching pornographic films and those that acted or directed those films.

There is no better way to start anything than to start with God. When you start your day with God, he will guide and keep you from falling into the unseen traps of the enemy. I encourage you to begin each day with the one who knows tomorrow, and your steps will be ordered in the way you should walk to fulfil God's purpose for your life. Forgetting the failures of the past, take advantage of the new day to begin afresh with God. Every day started with God is bound to end well for you.
