Whenever a branch is trimmed off a live tree it usually withers be-cause it is no longer connected to its source of nutrients. The branch is never meant to be independent of the tree. Branches are expected to bear fruits, but they cannot perform this function if they are separated from the tree. In order words, without the tree, the branches cannot bear fruit.

God's irrevocable judgment comes to every soul immediately after death. The ruling or verdict of that judgment will either be eternity in heaven or eternity in hell, depending on our relationship with Christ. Consider the following statement made by the Lord Jesus Christ - "And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the an-gels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, ..." - Luke 16:22-23.

We are in the last days, but the Church is not preparing for the com-ing of the Messiah. The Church seems to have forgotten that every word of God must surely come to pass at His appointed time. Jesus said, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also. At His ascension, the angels said, this same Je-sus, which is taken from you into heaven, shall so come in like man-ner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.

Leaven or yeast makes dough rise. A little of it as compared to the quantity of flour, is required to transform a dense mass of dough into a well-risen loaf of bread. In like manner a little leaven of sin in the life of a single believer has the capacity to corrupt an entire congre-gation. Defilement of any kind should never be condoned in the Church of God. Beloved, the extent of the problem of little sin must never be underestimated. Little sin breeds big corruption.

Let us learn to live one day at a time. Being anxious about what to eat, drink or wear has cut short the lives of many people. Anxiety and worry can lead to stress, hypertension and sometimes even death. Do not worry, tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Wor-rying about tomorrow is pointless. God supplies His children with daily grace. The grace to face the challenges of tomorrow will be provided at the right time.
