Key Text: "And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue …" 2 Peter 3:4 KJV
We are in the last days, but the Church is not preparing for the com-ing of the Messiah. The Church seems to have forgotten that every word of God must surely come to pass at His appointed time. Jesus said, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also. At His ascension, the angels said, this same Je-sus, which is taken from you into heaven, shall so come in like man-ner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.
Modern day Christians are more concerned about marriage, family, education, career, job, and business. They have forgotten what hap-pened in the days of Noah: while they were eating and drinking, mar-rying and giving in marriage, the flood came suddenly upon them. The Lord may come during that uncompleted project in your hand; therefore, you must be ready for Him always.
What will be your gain if you lose your soul because of the pursuit of the material things of this world? It is certain that you cannot carry your certificates, degrees, spouse, children, money, titles, or any oth-er earthly attainment out of this world because you came in empty-handed. Amend your ways and re-dedicate your life unto Jesus before it is too late. Time is running out and Jesus may come at any time.
Prayer: O Lord, I know that your coming is at hand, therefore help me to be ready, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Reflection: He which testifieth these things saith, Surely, I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus - Revelation 22:20.
