At salvation a sinner is translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light, where he now lives as a child of God. Every child in the kingdom of light is meant to pass through the process of transformation that takes them from childhood to sonship. This process is necessary to make us mature sons, capable of being led by the Spirit of God - Romans 8:14

Everyone born into this world has a specific assignment to accomplish. When you become born again, it is your responsibility to find out what you are called to do - God's purpose for your life. That is your calling and primary assignment from the Lord.. Jesus said, "To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, ..." - John 18:37b. Why were you born?

From the book of the generations of Adam recorded in Genesis chapter five, men simply lived long, had children and died. They made no significant achievement during their long years of existence. Although the average life span of man in those days was over nine hundred years, Enoch lived for only three hundred and sixty-five years. His life was rather short but purposeful and significant. Unlike those that lived before him, he walked with God and made heaven at last.

Are you striving for fame, position, wealth and riches, or other great things in life? The counsel of the Lord is: seek them not, but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto. If your goal in life is to acquire great things at the expense of your soul, you shall be of all men most miserable.

Living for Jesus means living the life that fulfils the purpose for which He came and died for. Jesus said, I am the light of the world; and in another verse of Scripture, He said that believers are the light of the world. He has promised that His followers shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. And it is having the light of life in us that lightens up our world - John 8:12; John 5:14.
