Key Text: 2 Corinthians 3: 18 KJV - But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
At salvation a sinner is translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light, where he now lives as a child of God. Every child in the kingdom of light is meant to pass through the process of transformation that takes them from childhood to sonship. This process is necessary to make us mature sons, capable of being led by the Spirit of God - Romans 8:14.
The Father has given us His word for our transformation journey. Constantly looking into the mirror of God's word will transform His obedient children from glory to glory, to become more like His Son. Jesus is the Son of God and while on earth he totally depended on His Father for everything - John 5:30. Following the example of Jesus, all the sons of God are also called to submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Unfortunately, many of God's children are not being transformed because they fail to react to what they see in the mirror. Beloved, although you are in the world, you are not of the world. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." - Romans 12:2. You must grow up to be led by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: O Lord, as I daily examine my life in the mirror of your word, help me to take corrections and turn at your reproofs, in Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves - James 1:22.
