They were not checking continually to see if they needed to top up. Watch and pray without ceasing as you prepare for the sudden return of the Lord.

Man needs only two things to live - food and the word of God. Your diet is not balanced if all that you depend on for sustenance if food. Your soul and spirit will be famished and you will eventually die of hunger if you fail to feed on the words that come out of the mouth of God. What shall it profit a man, if he shall have enough food and lose his own soul for lack of spiritual nourishment.

In the natural, a shepherd leads his sheep by voice and they follow him because they know his voice. It is the recognition of the shepherd's voice that keeps the sheep from following strangers. True believers are the sheep of the Lord - The good Shepherd. The Lord Jesus Christ also leads his sheep by voice, and they follow him. Do you hear his voice?

Every believer has a role to play in the building of the body of Christ. While some are called to move sand and cement with wheelbarrows, some are called to fetch water with buckets, and others are called to mix the mortal with shovel for those who are called to join the building blocks together with hand trowel.
