The Lord is a shelter in the time of storm for those who trust in Him. Addressing the believer, the Lord said: "I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him" - Psalm 91:15b. There is no need to worry since God has promised to be with you in troublous times. God is your defence and no weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper.

Blessed or happy are those who endure the persecutions that befall them because of their faith in Christ. Job lost all his children and all his possessions in one day but he neither sinned nor charged God foolishly. On a later date Job was also smitten with sore boils from the sole of his foot to his crown. Despite the ungodly counsel given by his wife, to curse God and die, Job chose to retain his integrity and would not sin with his lips against the Lord.

By their prayer and songs of praise, Paul and Silas announced the power of the Almighty God, and every one's bands were loosed.

The word of God cannot fail. Every one that does their work diligently and as unto the Lord is sure to receive a reward from Him. It is written: Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. And the thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want - Proverbs 22:29; 21:5.

The godly are those who continue to follow God after they have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Both the godly and the unjust are faced with suggestions to do evil and disobey God, at all times. Whereas, the ungodly are left to themselves, God helps the godly to choose to do good and obey Him. God knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations. He will never leave His own, neither will He forsake them.
