The scripture debunks annihilationism otherwise known as the the doctrine of conditional immortality: the idea that a human soul is not immortal unless it is given eternal life. This satanic doctrine asserts that God will eventually destroy or annihilate the wicked, leaving only the righteous to live on in immortality. But the Bible teaches that all souls are immortal, "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal - Matthew 25:46.

What does it mean to receive the kingdom of God? It means to receive and believe in the teachings from God's word about His kingdom. These teachings are found in the Bible and are meant to prepare the soul for heaven. However, it is only those that receive the word of God as little children that can make it into heaven. Whereas, believers are commanded to be children in malice, they are commanded to be adults in understanding the things of God.

After you have been saved by grace through faith, you must continually prepare for the coming of the Lord, otherwise you cannot make it to heaven. The five foolish virgins did not realise that they did not have enough oil until their lamps went out while waiting for the bridegroom. They were not checking continually to see if they needed to top up. Watch and pray without ceasing as you prepare for the the sudden return of the Lord.

Although the average life span of man in those days was over nine hundred years, Enoch lived for only three hundred and sixty-five years. His life was rather short but purposeful and significant. Unlike those that lived before him, he walked with God and made heaven at last.
