Leaven or yeast makes dough rise. A little of it as compared to the quantity of flour, is required to transform a dense mass of dough into a well-risen loaf of bread. In like manner a little leaven of sin in the life of a single believer has the capacity to corrupt an entire congregation. Defilement of any kind should never be condoned in the Church of God. Beloved, the extent of the problem of little sin must never be underestimated. Little sin breeds big corruption.

There is no profit for any man that seeks to enjoy life in this world at the detriment of his own soul. Those given to sinful pleasure are dead while they live: their love for pleasure is more than their love for God. Life in this world, no matter how sweet, is only for a moment.
