It is wonderful to know God's word, but we are only blessed when we live out the Word. The knowledge of the truth alone will not make us free, but the doing of it. You are deceiving your own self when you do nothing with your knowledge of God's word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God - Romans 10:17. But faith without works is dead. He does not have the final say in the issues and affairs of your life. Although he may afflict you, Satan cannot destroy you if you remain faithful to Jesus Christ, the source of all power.

On a later date Job was also smitten with sore boils from the sole of his foot to his crown. Despite the foolish counsel given by his wife, to curse God and die, Job chose to retain his integrity and would not sin with his lips against the Lord.
