Sometimes you feel or think that God has forgotten you, especially when it appears that your prayers are not being answered. But at such times you should remind yourself that the Lord loves you more than a mother loves her sucking child, and has promised that He will never forget you. The heaven and the earth may pass away but the word of the Lord abides for ever and will surely come to pass.

There's always abundant pardon awaiting the penitent sinner.

Although the average life span of man in those days was over nine hundred years, Enoch lived for only three hundred and sixty-five years. His life was rather short but purposeful and significant. Unlike those that lived before him, he walked with God and made heaven at last.

Hannah was a sorrowful woman for a long time and she complained about her unpleasant situation of barrenness. She was provoked by her adversary to make her worry and weep over her condition. Until she prevailed in the place of prayer, she remained a sorrowful woman. When she prayed earnestly, the Lord changed her complaint to acclaim. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
