SPEAKING THE RIGHT WORD

Nov 28 2025

Key Text: Joshua 1:8 KJV - "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

It is so important to always speak according to the will of God and his Word, if we are to enjoy his promised blessings. Prosperity and good success are some of the fruits of speaking in agreement with the written word of God. This explains why many Christians are not enjoying the blessings of the Lord. Although they know the word of God their speech exposes their unbelief.

As believers we must endeavour to speak and act according to God's word regardless of what we see, hear or feel. The temptation can be very strong to speak based on what the devil is showing to us. Do not forget that the devil is a liar and is committed to distracting you at all cost. In agreement with the word of God, let the weak say, "I am strong" and let the sick say, "I am healed by the stripes of Jesus".

Mind what you say: "Life and death are in the power of the tongue", "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." - Colossians 4:6, "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." - Ephesians 4:29.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for your word. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Reflection: "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." - Matthew 12:37.
