Whenever a branch is trimmed off a live tree it usually withers because it is no longer connected to its source of nutrients. The branch is never meant to be independent of the tree. Branches are expected to bear fruits, but they cannot perform this function if they are separated from the tree. In order words, without the tree, the branches cannot bear fruits.

Leaven or yeast makes dough rise. A little of it as compared to the quantity of flour, is required to transform a dense mass of dough into a well-risen loaf of bread. In like manner a little leaven of sin in the life of a single believer has the capacity to corrupt an entire congregation. Defilement of any kind should never be condoned in the Church of God. Beloved, the extent of the problem of little sin must never be underestimated. Little sin breeds big corruption.

By their rebellious imagination, they wanted to dwell together in Babel that they may not be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Because their minds were not renewed, their deeds were evil, unacceptable and against the perfect will of God.
