When a man through the study of the scriptures comes to the knowledge of the truth, it makes him wise unto salvation. From that point he begins to speak wisdom out of the abundance of God's word hidden in his heart. The Lord also gives him the tongue of the learned that he may know how to both speak and answer every man. Every true child of God should therefore have a soft, wholesome and tamed tongue to speak edifying and encouraging words.

The devil succeeded in deceiving Eve, and got her and Adam to eat of the forbidden fruit, thereby disobeying God. Eve was overcome because she engaged the devil in a conversation instead of resisting him.
