You can tell whether someone is a Christian or not by their life: a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Genuine Christians live and walk in the Spirit. They walk circumspectly, not allowing sin and the flesh to have dominion over them. They are true Christians that demonstrate an active life of charity toward others. Are you a true Christian?

The promises of God are yea and amen in Christ Jesus, but anxiety and worry will hinder their performance. When there is a need, God wants us to pray, believe that we have received, and then patiently wait for the manifestation of His power. God is not a man that He should lie. The Lord will always do whatever He has promised any of His children. Let not your heart be troubled if you believe in Him.

Let us learn to live one day at a time. The thought of tomorrow: what to eat, drink or wear has cut short the lives of many people. It leads to anxiety and worry which can result in stress, hypertension and sometimes even death. Do not worry, tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Worrying about tomorrow is pointless because you may not live to see it after all. God supplies His children with daily grace. The grace to face the challenges of tomorrow will be provided at the right time.

Are you concerned like Peter, about what you will gain having left all to follow Jesus? For your information, your labour is not in vain in the Lord. The Lord has promised to reward you now, with a hundredfold of whatever you have given up serving Him, and to give you eternal life in the world to come. All you need to inherit these promised blessings is to be faithful and committed as you serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
