Key Text: 1 Thessalonians 2:12 KJV - That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

Joseph, in Potiphar's house, refused to commit immorality with his master's wife. Daniel, in Babylon did not defile himself with the portion of the king's food and drink. The Hebrew children declared their stand and walked worthy of God, even in a foreign country. The unchanging standard of God's word demands that we live right always and everywhere.

The temptation to be like others can be very strong sometimes, especially when they are prospering despite their sinful lives. But the counsel of the Lord is that you should neither follow a multitude to do evil nor speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment - Exodus 23:2. If you are a believer, let your slogan be: "others may but I cannot".

Hold fast to your Christian convictions wherever you may find yourself in this sinful world. Remember that the all-seeing eyes of the Lord are watching you always. Since you cannot hide anything from him, ensure that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil - Ephesians 5:15-16.

Prayer: O Lord, give me the grace to declare my stand as a Christian always and in every situation, in Jesus name. Amen.
