The proof of the pudding is in the eating. You can only judge the quality of something after you have tried, used, or experienced it. The goodness of God can be experienced by all who come to put their trust in Him. In this verse of Scripture, David declares: "blessed is the man that trusts in him (the Lord)" and challenges us to confirm the veracity of this statement.

The deliverance of Israel from Egyptian bondage was with God's mighty hand. Israel however, quickly forgot God's redemptive and preserving power. The Lord spared their lives in the face of the ten terrible plagues that devastated the land of Egypt. They forgot the miracle of crossing the red sea. Pharaoh and his army tried to cross the same sea but all perished by drowning.

Mary Magdalene was the first to discover the empty tomb and she promptly informed Peter and John that the Lord had been taken out of the tomb. When these two disciples ran to the tomb and confirmed that the Lord was not there, they returned to their own home. But Mary stayed back at the tomb weeping, until she eventually saw two angels in the tomb and Jesus standing behind her. Mary's persistence paid off in the end.

MASTER-SERVANT RELATIONSHIP

Another two-way sacred relationship is that between masters and servants. This also covers maid-mistress and employer-employee relationships. Servants are commanded to obey their masters: i) with fear and trembling as unto the Lord, ii) not with eyeservice, as menpleasers iii) but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

PARENTS-CHILDREN RELATIONSHIP

In Colossians 3:20, children are commanded to obey their parents in all things: for it is well blessing unto the Lord. However, it will not be pleasing to the Lord, if a child, in obedience to his parents goes to steal. Children are to obey their parents in the Lord. The secret to enjoying good days and long life is in obeying and honouring your father and mother.
