God fights for those who believe in Jesus, and have Him as their Lord and personal Saviour. Because God was with Joseph, when his brothers tried to kill his dreams, He turned their evil plot around to favour Joseph in the end. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. Victory is guaranteed for those who are on the Lord's side. The battle line has been drawn and you must declare your position.

The believers in the early Church exhibited true love and selflessness. Many of them sold their houses and lands and brought the proceeds for distribution to the brethren according to their need. Joses or Barnabas as surnamed by the apostles also sold his land and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet. These believers were not forced to give: there was no announcement given to that effect but as they saw the need among them, they gave liberally to meet those needs.

How do you see the souls of men? There will be no passion for evangelism until you are able to see men as men and not as trees. A second touch from the Lord is needed to enable you see men through the eyes of Christ. When Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion and He raised a prayer request for more labourers to be sent to the field for the harvest of souls.

Water Lilies typically grow in very shallow, muddy or miry water. Just like the water lily which stands out white and beautiful in miry water, it is also possible for the believer to exude purity in this filthy world. Although the believer is in the world, they are not of the world. Jesus said: They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world - John 17:16. As a believer you are there to shine and light up the dark world around you. Always remember that light is stronger than darkness.

Saved To Serve God

When God liberates a man from the bondage of sin and Satan, He does so for the man to serve Him in that liberty. We must be careful not to misuse the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, that we may not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. We are liberated to serve one another in love: not at liberty to serve our flesh by doing whatever we please, not minding the effect it will have on other people. It is our responsibility to watch what we do, wear, eat, drink, and where we go.
