FORGIVE YOUR OFFENDERS

The principle of sowing and reaping is emphasised in various passages of the Scripture. The Lord expects us to have compassion upon those that trespass against us and forgive them, so that He will also forgive us when we sin against Him. But if we choose to harden our hearts and refuse to forgive our offenders, the Lord likewise will not forgive us when we plead for mercy because of our sins. Do not forget that you will always need God's forgiveness (for there is no man that sinneth not - 1 Kings 8:46).

Many are being deceived to take pleasure in committing secret sin, not knowing that those who have gone before them are already in the depths of hell. Be not deceived, even your evil thoughts are loud enough in the ears of the Lord and they are punishable by Him except you repent. Be warned and endeavour to live your life before the Lord rather than before men.

The word of God cannot fail. Every one that does their work diligently and as unto the Lord is sure to receive a reward from Him. It is written: Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. And the thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want - Proverbs 22:29; 21:5.

Wisdom is the judicious application of knowledge. The knowledge of the holy scriptures teaches us to fear God and depart from sin. And the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. From the word of God, we know that God is angry with the wicked every day, so it is wisdom to abstain from all appearance of evil and obtain His favour.

A DOUBLE PORTION

At the throne of grace we enjoy a double portion: God's forgiving mercy and His pardoning grace. Whereas, His grace has appeared to all men for personal appropriation, God's mercy is there for the asking. The Lord is always there to answer anyone that will dare to call upon Him in the time of trouble. There's always abundant pardon awaiting the penitent sinner.
