God is God and not a man. There is nothing that is too hard for Him to do. He can save the very vilest of sinners. He raises the poor from the dust to the throne. He heals men of all manner of incurable sicknesses and diseases. The Lord raises the dead back to life and with Him all things are possible. The power of God that parted the red sea for Israel to cross over is still at work today.

Despite the great storm that arose against the Lord and His disciples, they eventually crossed over to the other side of the sea. Although troubled by fear, the disciples realised that they were not alone, and cried unto the Lord for His intervention. Until the disciples prayed the Lord did nothing about the wind. God commands us to pray and we must respond if we want to experience the manifestation of his power.

In times like these when many are yielding to temptations, we have a solid assurance from God's word that Jesus is able to keep us from falling. If we cooperate with Him, the Lord will do all that is required to present us faultless before the presence of His glory. He is always there to help us overcome every temptation the devil brings our way.

The Lord has set two ways before every man and counsels us to choose the right way which leads to blessing and life. And there is no death in the right way. The other way is that which seems right to a man but ends in death and destruction. The right way is narrow and therefore allows travellers to carry only what is essential and necessary for the journey of life.

The knowledge of the truth gives boldness in the face of oppression and intimidation. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were not afraid of the threat of being cast into the burning fiery furnace, because they knew that God could deliver them. It was the knowledge of God's word that strengthened them at the hour of temptation: for He has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.
