We have a merciful and just God who always warns us to deliver us from impending danger. But because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. It is not the will of God for anyone to perish in their sin. He wants all men to come to repentance that they might have eternal life.

Beloved, the latter part of our key text says God has created all things including you, for His pleasure. What does it mean to please God? It simply means giving Him first place in everything that you do in life. This can be achieved by sincerely seeking God to know the right thing to do, and endeavouring to do it, in every situation. Remember, the Holy Spirit has been given to the Church to lead us into all truth.

Having already provided all that man will ever need, the Lord is surprised that the children of men are labouring to pay for that which is not bread and does not satisfy. Beware of so-called men of God who demand for money to help you pray down God's blessing upon your life. These are false Pastors, false Apostles and false Prophets, who serve not the Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly. They are there to deceive you by sweet words and fair speeches. Please avoid them.

According to Jesus, believers are the light of the world because He dwells in them. But a believer will not have the expected influence in their little corner of the community if they fail to shine by hiding or covering their light. Let your light so shine as commanded by the Lord. Light is stronger than darkness: no matter its thickness, darkness cannot comprehend the light of God in you. Let your moderation be known unto all men that the Lord brings your way.

It was agreed that Prophet Samuel would meet up with King Saul and his men at Gilgal within seven days as they were waiting to engage the Philistines in a battle. As a priest Prophet Samuel was expected to offer sacrifice unto God in preparation for the battle. Unfortunately, Samuel did not show up at the appointed time so Saul forced himself and offered the sacrifice when he saw the armies of Philistines advancing. But Saul was only a king and not a priest.
