How do you see other people? There will be no passion for evangelism until you are able to see men as human beings and not as trees. Another touch from the Lord is needed to enable you see men through the eyes of Christ as never dying souls. When Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion and He raised a prayer request for more labourers to be sent into the field of souls - Matthew 9:36.

We have a merciful and just God who always warns us to deliver us from impending dangers. But because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Many take the longsuffering nature of God for granted. It is not the will of God for anyone to perish in their sin. He wants all men to come to repentance that they might have eternal life.

Living by the faith of Jesus is yielding to his Lordship and letting the Son of God live in you. Jesus said, I am the light of the world; and in another verse of Scripture, He said that believers are the light of the world, which makes us one with him. By letting him live in us, his light shines and dispels the forces of darkness in our territories. This is how sinners can be delivered whose minds are blinded by Satan.

David was a valiant man: he killed a lion, a bear and Goliath without any sophisticated weapon. He was a prophet, a priest and a king yet the spirit of Jezebel cast him down and he was spiritually wounded. Reading the Psalms, and other records about David in the Bible, you will discover that he was very spiritual and close to God. So why did he fall? He yielded to the temptation presented by the spirit of Jezebel.

God allowed Paul and Silas to be cast into the prison so that He will be glorified there. He wanted the prisoners to hear the message that will set them free from the bondage of sin. Because Jesus was anointed to preach deliverance to the captives, His disciples should do the same. By their prayer and songs of praise, Paul and Silas announced the power of the Almighty God, and every one's bands were loosed.
