The Lord saved the children of Israel from Egyptian bondage that he might bring them into the promised land of Canaan. It was never in God's plan for them to perish in the wilderness. Unfortunately, due to the sins of unbelief and murmuring among the people, almost all the adult members of the congregation that left Egypt died in the wilderness. Though the giants were on their way to hinder them, Joshua and Caleb simply trusted in the ability of God and were brought into Canaan.

Beloved, do not give place to the devil to reign over you. It is what you allow that will eventually have dominion over you. The devil will always come to you with evil suggestions, but he cannot invade your life until you let him in. Eve was deceived and overcome because she engaged the devil in a conversation instead of resisting him. Be watchful and prayerful so you won't be deceived. 

Many are being deceived to take pleasure in committing secret sin, not knowing that those who have gone before them are already in the depths of hell. Be not deceived, even your evil thoughts are loud enough in the ears of the Lord, and they are punishable by Him except you repent. Be warned and endeavour to live your life before the Lord rather than before men. 

The believers in the early Church exhibited true love and selflessness. Many of them sold their houses and lands and brought the proceeds for distribution to the brethren according to their need. These believ-ers were not forced to give and there was no announcement given to that effect but as they saw the need among them, they responded by giving liberally to meet those needs. 

Godly wisdom is better than strength and weapons of war. The great king that went against the little city in verse 14 of Ecclesiastes chapter 9, was defeated by the wisdom of a poor wise citizen of that besieged city. With godly wisdom you can defeat the enemy and accomplish great things for your community. They are wise that keep the word of the Lord; although their strength may be little, and no man can shut the open door the Lord has set before them.
