If you are living one foot in the Church and one foot in the world, you are actually living both feet in the world because you cannot serve God and mammon. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils - 1 Corinthians 10:21. God hates adultery, therefore whosoever will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God - James 4:4.

The heart of the believer is tender and needs to be constantly watched over to avoid corruption and defilement. When God justifies a man, and makes him righteous at salvation, He also gives him the charge to keep himself pure. Failing in the responsibility to take away the things that have the capacity to defile a man will eventually result in eternal damnation. The believer is therefore expected to eschew evil and to abstain from all appearance of it.

The Lord has set two ways before every man and counsels us to choose the right way which leads to blessing and life. And there is no death in the right way. The other way is that which seems right to a man but ends in death and destruction. The right way is narrow and therefore allows travellers to carry only what is essential and necessary for the journey of life.

The faith that really works is the faith that does work. It is living, active and productive faith. Dormant or idle faith on the other hand is dead and produces no result. That is the faith that says "I believe in God" or "I know God" but continues in disobedience to the word of God. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin - James 4:17. 

Faith makes the believer bigger than their actual appearance. All that you need to do exploits in the kingdom of God is faith as small as a mustard seed. Every believer has this size of faith but unfortunately many are not aware of this fact. When his disciples asked the Lord to increase their faith, he told them all they needed was faith as small as a mustard seed - Luke 17:6.
