Key Text: Galatians 2:20 KJV - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Living for Jesus means living the life that fulfils the purpose for which He came and died for. Jesus said, I am the light of the world; and in another verse of Scripture, He said that believers are the light of the world. He has promised that His followers shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. And it is having the light of life in us that lightens up our world - John 8:12; John 5:14.

Although the light of Jesus is in you, it is your responsibility to let it shine. Let your light so shine that others may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. You are saved not to live for yourself but to shine and lead those that are in darkness into the kingdom of light.

We are living in the world of darkness and wickedness, but light is stronger than darkness: greater is He (the light of the world) that is in you than he (the prince of darkness) that is in the world. Strive to live for Jesus and let your light so shine before men by doing what is right and shunning that which is evil. You cannot live for the Lord except you are born again. Acknowledge your sin, confess and forsake them, then pray to the Lord to forgive you and take over your life.

Prayer: O Lord, let every satanic bushel covering my light be overturned that I may lead men to find you, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid - Matthew 5:14.
