Key Text: 2 Peter 3:4 KJV - And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
The fact that many Churches are not preparing their members for the coming of the Messiah, confirms that we are in the last days. They have forgotten that every word of God must surely come to pass at His appointed time. Jesus said, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also. At His ascension, the angels said, this same Jesus, which is taken from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.
Modern day Christians are more concerned about marriage, family, education, career, job, and business. They have forgotten what happened in the days of Noah: while they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, the flood came suddenly upon them. The Lord may come during that uncompleted project in your hand, therefore you must be ready for Him always.
What will be your gain if you lose your soul because of the pursuit of the material things of this world? It is certain that you cannot carry your certificates, degrees, spouse, children, money, titles, or any other earthly attainment out of this world to the grave, because you came in empty-handed. Amend your ways and re-dedicate your life unto Jesus before it is too late. Time is now over - Jesus is coming now!
Prayer: O Lord, I know that your coming is at hand, therefore keep me ready, in Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: He which testifieth these things saith, Surely, I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus - Revelation 22:20.
