The Great Provider

Oct 18 2017

Key Text: Psalm 34:10 KJV - The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger but they hat seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

Every good thing comes from the Lord. He knows what is good for His children and He gives to those that seek Him diligently. The sheep looks up to its shepherd for sustenance and protection. It is the shepherd that searches out and leads the flock to green pastures for grazing. You are defenceless if you do not have the Lord Jesus Christ as the Shepherd and Bishop of your soul, for without Him you can do nothing.

Until you begin to see the Lord and not man as your Shepherd and provider, you will continue to be in want of that which is good for you. David shared this secret when he said, the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He also said, My help cometh from the Lord. Jesus is The Great Provider that faithfully provides for all His children who come to put their trust and confidence in Him.

Take away your eyes, trust and confidence from the arm of flesh. The lions despite their strength, sometimes fail to provide for their young ones but the Lord never fails. He knows what is good for you and will always meet your needs. But you must seek Him instead of man. If you are not yet born again, you are not entitled to His blessings. Surrender your life to Jesus today and He will become your Shepherd. Hallelujah!

Prayer: O Lord, grant me the grace to always trust in you without putting confidence in man, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want - Psalm 23:1.
