Key Text: Acts 1:11 KJV - Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
While the disciples who witnessed the ascension of Jesus Christ, stood gazing into heaven, they were informed by two angels, that the same Jesus will come back again. Since then, many deceivers born of women have presented themselves to the world as Jesus. But we are expecting the same Jesus that ascended into heaven, to come back in like manner by descending from heaven to rapture his bride: "for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven ..." - 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
The Holy Spirit has commanded those who love the appearing of the Lord to comfort one another with these words - He is coming again. Brethren, let not your heart be troubled: having gone to prepare a place for us in heaven, the Lord will come surely again for us as promised, that where He is, there we may be also. The disciples saw the Lord, when He ascended into heaven, and we believe that He is coming back to take us there. Do not allow the scoffers to confuse you, His promises cannot fail.
Every sinner should take advantage of the short time to get ready before it becomes too late. It is not the will of God for any one to perish and end up in hell fire. There is no more time, therefore do the needful now by repenting and getting saved. You will be doomed for ever, if you die in sin or allow Jesus to meet you in sin at His coming.
Prayer: O Lord, at what time you choose to come for your own, I pray that you will find me faithful, in Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be - Matthew 24:37.
