The Wages Of Sin

Jun 02 2017

Key Text: Proverbs 14:12 KJV - There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Small or big, every sin ends in destruction and death. The soul that sinneth, it shall die and the wages of sin is death. In His wisdom, the just and righteous God has determined to punish every sinner in hell fire, except they repent. The type of sin committed does not matter; anger and murder will attract the same judgment - eternal destruction in hell fire.

Sometimes we lie to avoid punishment, or we lie to make profit, or we lie to protect our friends, but all liars shall end up in hell fire. Sin is very deceitful and appears to bring some immediate gain or protection but the end of all sins is death. We must abstain from all appearance of sin, and eschew all unrighteousness. Always check to confirm that the action you are about to take is not sinful. Avoid carnality and walk in the Spirit that you may not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Thank God for the gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord. There is hope now that you are still alive but tomorrow maybe too late to make your ways right. Just acknowledge, confess and forsake your sins, then ask God for forgiveness and pardon. The Lord is waiting for you to return to Him. Whatever your sin, humble yourself and go to the Lord, and He will have mercy upon you.

Prayer: O Lord, give me the victory over every temptation, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: Abstain from all appearance of evil - 1 Thessalonians 5:22.
