Virtue From The Lord

May 24 2017

Key Text: Luke 8:46 KJV - And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

Many people were around the Lord Jesus but it was only the touch of the woman with the issue of blood that drew virtue from Him. The touch of that poor woman was different because she had a purpose for touching Jesus. She wanted healing and virtue went out from the Lord to heal her. Whatever your need, there is enough virtue from Jesus to satisfy you.

Although the Lord is not physically present with us today, He can still be touched by faith. We have the opportunity of touching the Lord every time we are in His presence. But like the woman with the issue of blood we must have a reason to touch Him and with great expectation. In Church, do not be like the multitude that thronged and pressed the Lord without purpose. Those sort of people go to Church as the people go, without receiving anything.

There is always enough virtue to meet the needs of all sincere and expectant seekers. Jesus has the solution to that problem in your life but you must stretch forth your hand of faith and touch Him for yourself. Sinners can touch Him for salvation; backsliders for restoration; the oppressed for deliverance; the sick for healing; the hopeless for hope: Do not hide your situation from the Lord.

Prayer: O Lord, I acknowledge that you alone can help me. Have mercy upon me, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: And besought Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole - Matthew 14:36.
