Key Text: Luke 11:35 KJV - Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
According to Jesus, believers are the light of the world because He dwells in them. But a believer will not have the expected influence in their little corner of the community if they fail to shine by hiding or covering their light. Let your light so shine as commanded by the Lord. Light is stronger than darkness: no matter its thickness, darkness cannot comprehend the light of God in you. Let your moderation be known unto all men that the Lord brings your way.
Beloved, take heed therefore that the light which is in you does not become darkness. It is possible to have light and yet the people around you are still groping in darkness, if the light is covered. Sin and evil works will not allow your light to shine for men around you to see the right way to follow. You must therefore consciously take away every thing that hinders your light from shining to the glory of God.
Let others see Jesus in you, by your life and good works. Uncover your light today and let it so shine that others may see it and be pointed to Christ for the salvation of their souls. Until you uncover your light and begin to shine, the world around you will continue in darkness. Let not sin have dominion over you so that your light will not be overcome by darkness. Remember, all sinners are in darkness and in need of the light of Christ: if you are still living in sin, you need to repent and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness and the power to overcome sin.
Prayer: O Lord, Let every darkness around me be exposed and overcome by the light of Christ, in Jesus name. Amen.
