Yield Not To Temptation

May 07 2017

Key Text: Jude 24 KJV - Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.

In times like these when many are yielding to temptations, we have a solid assurance from God's word that Jesus is able to keep us from falling. If we cooperate with Him, the Lord will do all that is required to present us faultless before the presence of His glory. He is always there to help us overcome every temptation the devil brings our way.

Have you ever imagined how the early disciples were able to overcome the temptations of their day? They simply believed the Lord, and decided to obey Him rather than men even when their lives were threatened because of their faith. And the Lord in His faithfulness kept them from falling. They also believed His promise that no man could pluck them out of His hands.

Today, the Lord is willing and able to give you victory on every side, if you will place your trust in Him. The price for your redemption has been fully paid, and you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The Lord assures every believer that He will never leave them nor forsake them. Therefore remember that you are not alone at the hour of temptation: He's right there to strengthen you - only believe. Run to Jesus now if you are not yet born again and get saved that you may receive the power to overcome temptations.

Prayer: O Lord, save my soul; lead me not into temptation and deliver me from evil as I await your return, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted - Hebrews 2:18.
