Examine Your Imagination

May 06 2017

Key Text: Romans 12:2 KJV - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

As a man thinks in his heart so is he: you are the product of your thoughts. Unbelievers are not concerned about going to heaven so their affection is set on things on the earth. They are worldly and are being controlled by the god of this world. Believers are warned not to be conformed to this world because although they are in the world, they are not of the world. Every believer should therefore seek to have the mind of Christ.

Entertaining evil thoughts in the heart is defiling and must be avoided by heavenly-minded believers. They must get renewed always in the spirit of their mind by casting down sinful imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. They must also bring into captivity every thought to the obedience Christ.

Taking heed to the word of God, cleanses, purifies and sanctifies the believer. Jesus said: Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Beloved, see that you examine and get your imagination transformed by reading, studying, hearing, and meditating on the word of God. Draw nearer to Jesus Christ today that you may receive the power to set your affection on heavenly things.

Prayer: O Lord, give me the power to be watchful and prayerful at all times, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it - Jeremiah 17:9.
