Key Text: Acts 12:6 KJV - And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

The Church was praying for the deliverance of Peter and God seemed to be silent for a while but suddenly intervened just in time before Herod could execute his heinous plan. Let not your heart be troubled when the answer to your prayer appears to be delayed. The just-in-time God never shows up late.

You will notice from the account in our text that Peter slept the night before the scheduled execution, because he trusted that God and not Herod, has the final say in the affairs of his life. Therefore, as you pray, give no place to fear and anxiety. Remember that He disappoints the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.

Every Herod devising evil against you will be taken in their craftiness, in the mighty name of Jesus. Come out of despondency and look forward to your deliverance. It will happen just in time and you shall know that the Lord has delivered you out of the hand of Satan and from all the expectation of your enemies.

Prayer: O Lord, I decree according to your word; no weapon formed against me shall prosper; and every tongue that rises against me in judgement is condemned, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed - Acts 16:26.
