Freedom Under Grace

Apr 23 2017

Key Text: Romans 6:15 KJV - What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

The grace of God is misunderstood by many Christians and Bible teachers. Under grace believers are free from sin but not free to sin. The erroneous doctrine of eternal security stems from the teaching that once saved by grace, you are forever saved. But Demas was once saved by grace and later backslid because of the love of the world. We cannot take the grace of God for granted.

When you get saved by grace through faith, it is your responsibility to yield to the teachings of grace. God's grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts but to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Grace grants us access to God's Riches At Christ's Expense. By grace and through faith, the sinner is saved and the believer is sanctified and sustained till the end. The grace of God is greater than all your sins. If you want to be saved, you need to believe and confess that Jesus died for you, and His pardoning grace will cleanse you from all sins.

Prayer: O Lord, By your grace sin shall not have dominion over me, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? - Romans 6:1.
