The Place Of Patience

Mar 22 2017

Key Text: Hebrews 10:36 KJV - For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

The promises of God are yea and amen in Christ Jesus but anxiety and worry will hinder their performance. When there is a need, God's will is that we pray, believe that we have received, and then patiently wait for the manifestation of His power. God is not a man that He should lie. The Lord will always do whatever He has promised any of His children. Let not your heart be troubled if you believe in Him.

Sometimes, answer to prayer may be instant and at other times there may be a waiting time. Be patient with God after you have prayed, and have to wait for His answer. Delay is not denial. Allow God to work out His purpose for your life in due time. God's time is the best.

It took twenty-five years for Abraham to receive the promised Isaac. Joseph waited for many years before his God-given dreams were fulfilled. Moses waited for forty years before he commenced his ministry. If God is making you wait, be patient because you're in good company. Brethren, let us follow the Lord faithfully that we may inherit the promises of God through faith and patience.

Prayer: Father, I overcome worry and anxiety as I wait for the fulfilment of your promises in my life, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord - Luke 1:45.
