Key Text: Isaiah 35:8 KJV - And an highway shall be there, and it shall be called The way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
There are two highways: the broad and narrow way, each having specific destination. Travelling by the wrong highway will definitely take you to the wrong destination. For example the highway that goes from Bethel to Shechem will not lead travellers to Jerusalem - Judges 21:19. It is the narrow way or The highway of holiness that leads pilgrims to the dwelling place of the holy God - 1 Peter 1:15-16; Hebrews 12:14.
We are all on a journey that will either end in heaven or hell, depending on the way we have chosen to travel on. Beloved, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are travelling on the right way because "there is a way that seemeth right to a man but the end thereof are the ways of death" - Proverbs 14:12; 16:25. Unfortunately, many have chosen the broad way which leads to eternal damnation.
Nobody can see God except they repent and complete their journey, travelling on the narrow way of holiness. That is the old fashioned way that led men like Enoch, Abraham and Elijah to heaven. No sinner or backslider is permitted to travel on the highway of holiness. If you are serious about ending your journey in heaven, you must repent quickly and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour.
Prayer: Father, help me to complete my journey of life on the highway of holiness, in Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me - John 14:6.
