Key Text: Job 2:6 KJV - And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
If Satan had the power, he would have killed everyone on the earth and destroyed the world in a moment. But glory be to God, all power in heaven and in earth belong to Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Almighty God. Therefore, there is a limit to what Satan can do in your life. He does not have the final say in the issues and affairs of your life. Although he may afflict you, Satan cannot destroy you if you remain faithful to Jesus Christ, the source of all power.
The affliction of Job happened within set boundaries, and Satan was not allowed to go beyond them. Left for the Devil, he would have killed Job but he was not permitted to do so. That problem in your life is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. Do not give up: the Lord is only showing you off to the Devil, and in due time, you will be restored if you do not faint.
Beloved, sometimes you may be troubled on every side, perplexed, persecuted or cast down but you must never forget that the Lord has not forsaken you. Please, let us learn from the patience of Job. The Lord is watching to see what your reaction would be to that situation. The situation was never meant to destroy you. Cheer up and remember that there's a limit to what Satan can do in your life.
Prayer: O Lord, I thank you because you have the final say over the issues and affairs of my life, in Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth - Matthew 28:18.
