Key Text: Romans 8:2 KJV - For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

There are two contrary spiritual laws in operation and you are either under one regime or the other. They are the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus and the law of sin and death: the former sets one free from the latter. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus that the law of sin and death may no longer have dominion over us. This grace of God that brings salvation teaches us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world -Titus 2:11.

These two laws cannot operate in tandem; one suspends the operation of the other just like the laws of gravity and aerodynamics. Three thousand men died on the same day that Moses brought down the two tables of stone bearing the ten commandments (Exodus 32:28). Three thousand men were also saved on the day of Pentecost when the law of the Spirit of life was inaugurated (Acts 2:41). Would you call this a coincidence?

Glory be to God who by His grace has given us the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter the kingdom of heaven. You must be born again.
