CREATED FOR HIS PLEASURE

Sep 20 2025

Key Text: Revelation 4:11 KJV - Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Beloved, the latter part of our key text says God has created all things including you, for his pleasure. What does it mean to please God? It simply means to believe him, giving him first place in everything that you do in life. This can only be achieved by those who sincerely seek God to know him and his will for their lives. When we truly know God, the Holy Spirit will help us to please him in all things.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Although we may demonstrate our faith through our actions, it's our belief in the Lord, not our actions, that makes us right with God. A good relationship is based on faith - the heartfelt inner confidence that God is who he says he is and does what he says he will do. Right actions will follow through naturally as byproducts.

Always remember that you have been created for the sole purpose of pleasing God. Do not allow self, men and things to take the place of God in your life. Our God is a jealous God who will never share His glory with any man. Seek to do only those things which are acceptable in His sight and pleasant unto Him.

Prayer: O Lord, my earnest desire is to please you. Have your way in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Reflection: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him - Hebrews 11:6.
