CHOOSING THE RIGHT WAY

May 01 2025

Key Text: Proverbs 12:28 KJV - In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

The Lord has set two ways before every man and counsels us to choose the right way which leads to blessing and life. And there is no death in the right way. The other way is that which seems right to a man but ends in death and destruction. The right way is narrow and therefore allows travellers to carry only what is essential and necessary for the journey of life.

Every man that is born of a woman generally tends to travel along the way that seems right to them, forsaking the counsel of the Lord. The way that seems right to a man is broad and without luggage restriction so travellers can take whatever they like. This is the way of sin and perdition where self rules in rebellion and disobedience to the counsel of God.

Jesus is the right way that leads to life. When you encounter Him at salvation, He begins to lead, instruct and keep you in the way you should go. His keeping you depends on your willingness to be led and instructed. If you are already saved endeavour to continue on the right way till the end. But if you are not yet saved, repent and believe on Jesus today, that you may find eternal life.

Prayer: O Lord, deliver me from foolishness and help me to hearken to your counsel and live, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Reflection: The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise - Proverbs 12:15.
