CHECK YOUR IMAGINATION

Mar 07 2025

Key Text: Job 21:27 KJV - Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.

The imagination of sinners is always vain and against God. Although, the Lord wanted them to multiply and fill the whole earth, the men of Babel imagined building a city and a tower that will reach unto heaven. By their rebellious imagination, they wanted to dwell together in Babel and not be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Because they were self-willed, their deeds were evil, unacceptable and against the perfect will of God.

Actions derive from imagination; therefore, we must ensure that our imaginations are always right and pure. It is our responsibility to cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God while bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. Wrong imaginations are always against God. Our minds must therefore be transformed to align with the will of God.

Watch your imagination always because as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Your mouth will only speak out of the abundance of the thoughts in your heart, whether good or bad. Therefore, be slow to speak: for by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Except you repent, your imagination can never be transformed and will eventually destroy you.

Prayer: O Lord, deliver me from vain and evil imaginations, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Reflection: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee - Proverbs 23:7.
