YOU NEED GODLY WISDOM

Mar 01 2025

Key Text: Job 28:28 KJV - And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Wisdom is the judicious application of knowledge. The knowledge of the holy scriptures teaches us to fear God and depart from sin. And the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. From the word of God, we know that God is angry with the wicked every day, and godly wisdom instructs us to abstain from all appearance of evil that we may obtain His favour.

The opposite of wisdom is folly. The fool has said in his heart, there is no God. It is foolishness to fail to know that there is God in heaven who rules in the affairs of men. Wisdom teaches us that God has the final say in the issues of our lives. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him - James 1:5.

We are talking about the wisdom of God and not that of the world which is sensual and devilish. The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, for it is written: He taketh the wise in their own craftiness - 1 Corinthians 3:19. Come to Jesus Christ today and you will discover and partake fully of all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge that are hidden in Him.

Prayer: O Lord, give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Reflection: Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding - Proverbs 3:13.
