Key Text: Isaiah 35:8 KJV - And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
There are two highways: the broad way and the narrow way, each having specific destination. Travelling by the wrong highway will take you to the wrong destination. For example, the highway that goes from Bethel to Shechem will not lead travellers to Jerusalem - Judges 21:19. It is the narrow way or the highway of holiness that leads pilgrims to the dwelling place of the only true and holy God - 1 Peter 1:15-16; Hebrews 12:14.
We are all on a journey that will either end in heaven or hell, depending on the way we have chosen to travel on. Beloved, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are travelling on the right way because "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" - Proverbs 14:12; 16:25. Unfortunately, many have chosen the broad way which leads to eternal damnation.
Nobody can see God except they repent and complete their life journey via the narrow way of holiness. That is the old-fashioned way that led the saints of old to heaven. No unrepentant sinner or backslider can travel along the highway of holiness. Therefore, if you are serious about ending your journey in heaven, you must repent quickly and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour.
Prayer: Father, keep me on the highway of holiness so that my journey of life will end in heaven, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Reflection: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me - John 14:6.
