THE LORD IS YOUR PORTION

Nov 25 2024

Key Text: Psalm 73:26 KJV - My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

The reason why many are fainting and their heart failing in the journey of life is because they have not recognised the Lord as their portion in this world. He that has God as his portion has everything that is needed to live a peaceful life on earth. Therefore, seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Joseph was a little boy that feared God and knew Him as his portion. He turned down the offer from Portiphar's wife because he knew that winning her favour would result in losing the favour of God. His promotion to the position of Egyptian Prime Minister came from the Lord. The favour of God commands the favour of man - Pharaoh became Joseph's destiny helper by divine providence.

Your destiny is hidden in God, therefore seek God with all your heart. Stop looking for the favour of man, "For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another" - Psalm 75:6-7. The God that lifted up Joseph is not a partial God. He will also promote you if you will be faithful like Joseph.

Prayer: O Lord, I know that you are enough for me. Help me to depend on you always, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Reflection: Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the Lord - Proverbs 29:26.
